So as some of you know, I am prepping to leave for Florida this coming week. Marco Island, retirement mania. Marco Island is beautiful, and if you don’t have a problem with old people, it’s the place for you. I like old people, they move slow, have dinner as early as 4 o’clock and go to bed early, I can relate on a personal level.
As I’m sure you’ve already guessed, this “prepping” I speak of is outfit prepping, of course. What to bring, do I have enough outfits, will all of this fit in my suitcase, will I make a spectacle of myself in my neon pom pom dress, are eight bathing suits enough for five days? I suffer from Sarcina Phobia, irrational fear or packing, self diagnosed of course, but packing has always been my worst nightmare. How the heck am I supposed to know what I’m going to want to wear out to dinner four days from now? May as well bring twelve options per day to prevent a breakdown. So to avoid bringing three full suitcases of clothing (as I have done for a WEEKEND away in the past), I pack days and days in advance and try on every single article of clothing a million times AND make a list in my phone that states where I will be wearing it and what I will wear it WITH. I am so guilty of packing that one random skirt just because I like it, only to get to my destination and realize that nothing in my suitcase goes with the electric orange, pom pom infested skirt that I just HAD to bring.
With all of that being said, I have matured and grown to work through my self diagnosed Sarcina Phobia. Even though I’m still bringing a lot.. anyway, the point of this post is to share with you the details on the outfits I will be wearing on Marco Island. There is no way I can do a post on every look while I’m away and remain in vacation mode. Attached below are the noteworthy outfits I will be sporting, but unfortunately unable to do a full shoot and post on. All details on these pieces are linked below!
