Valentine’s day is the one day a year where it’s socially acceptable to wear pink from head to toe (even though we all know I do that any day), needless to say, it’s one of my favorite holidays. With or without a boyfriend, Valentine’s day is the perfect day to remind the special people in your life how much you love them. While you’re doing so, of course you have to dress the part.
The photos below are from mine and my sister’s Valentine’s day inspired cafe date.
To start with my favorite piece from this look, my Milly, Fuchsia Faux Fur Jacket. I am so in love with this jacket, it was made for this holiday. It’s so beautiful and cut so perfectly. It’s boxy yet flattering shape is ideal for any body type. This shade of pink will make you the star of the show wherever you go, it’s clearly a head turner.
Next is my dress for this look, it’s Free People (one of my favs) and called the, Amelia Knit Mini Dress. When they say mini, they mean it. Which I love. This dress has a drop waist line, which I normally don’t like because I prefer to show my waist. I have more of an hourglass body type, so I have big hips, that being said I like to accentuate my smaller waist to balance out my hips. I usually gravitate towards A-line styles or bodycon dresses to achieve that waist to hips balance, so the drop waist is a bit of a change for me. The great thing about this dress is that it’s so mini, perfect for my short self and even shorter legs. It’s mini cut balances out the looseness of it’s waist line. Overall this dress is a winner from the cut to the adorable magenta and purple print. Its fun and playful, perfect for Valentine’s day.
Another item that is ideal for a V day theme are my massive pink shades. They’re the Elizabeth and James, Leary Pearl Sunglasses. Their bubbly cut is fun and flirty which makes them so fun for a lovey day like this one.
For outfit number two, my sister, Sam is rocking the adorable Floral Mixed Print Dress by Giamba. This beautiful piece is covered in flowers arranged in the shape of hearts. So girly and cutesy. It’s pleated skirt is so flowy and would make anyone want to twirl around in circles (as my sister did while we are picking it out).
Sam’s coat is one of our favorites, as I wore in my My Red Ribbon Two Piece post. Like I have mentioned before Sam and I are the same size which doubles both of our wardrobes. This marshmallow of a coat is one of our favorite pieces to share. As I said in my previous post, this coat is no longer available in Nordstrom where we got it, so below I attached a the same similar style from my Red Ribbon look.
Of course I have to talk about my little pup’s sweater too, Allie’s sweater was made with love by my mama along with the rest of her fabulous wardrobe 🙂
I hope these looks gave you a few ideas for your Valentine’s Day casual day time look. A post is coming soon about my Valentine’s day night time makeup and outfit!!
