Best of 2016

Featured below are all of the beauty products I COULD NOT live without during 2016, I hope you enjoy 🙂

I’m starting off with the Real Techniques, Miracle Complexion Sponge because it was easily my favorite beauty staple this year. Not only is it WAY BETTER than the Beauty Blender, it is a fraction of the cost. Being the germaphobe that I am, I purchase a new beauty sponge once a month, I used the Beauty Blender for years before I realized how excessive it was to spend $20 a month on a sponge… I finally tried the Real Techniques, Miracle Complexion Sponge  for a mere $6.99 and I was AMAZED. The angles at the top of the sponge make blending concealer a breeze. This is a MUST GET.

Secondly, is the , I use the orange one for my under eyes, but they come in every color for every need you could possibly have. This is the best color corrector I have ever used because it is SO CREAMY, I couldn’t imagine leaving the house without it now.

Makeup Forever Mist & Fix setting spray. Let me just tell you, I have tried every setting spray on the market and have never been taken with any of them like I have with this. Makeup Forever’s setting spray is BY FAR the most long lasting. I wish there was more hype about this product because it really deserves the recognition.

Next is Smashbox’s Photo Finish Primer Oil. I am naturally oily in my t-zone, so primer oils like this one always scared me a little bit… until my sister surprised me with a set of Artis Brushes for my birthday this past year. With that kind of brush, you NEED an oil to blend with your foundation otherwise the product basically just glides on the surface of your skin and doesn’t really blend that well. I have used this EVERYDAY since I purchased it in June and I cannot get enough of it. I also use it before applying a liquid lip to lock some extra moisture in there. This product has so many great uses and I’d recommend it to anyone and EVERYONE.

The next product I am going to be talking about is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moon Child Glow Kit. Just wow. I recently received this product as a gift so its fairly new to my collection but I just HAD to share it. The colors are so beautiful and perfectly pigmented. I have had a chance to use pink heart and star, and I cannot wait to try the rest. They blend so easily and are just BE AUTI FUL on the face. I used pink ice on my cheek bones, my inner eye corner, my brow bone, my nose, PUT THIS STUFF EVERYWHERE OKAY??? Too beautiful.

These next two are clearly lip related and require very little introduction. So as we all know the Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks were released this year. I fell in LOVE. Guiltily enough, I probably purchased six of the individual tubes when they first came out because I just couldn’t contain myself over how beautiful the shades are. When they came out with the lip pallet after, I KNEW it had to be mine. The brush it comes with is to great too, I’m not usually a fan of pan lipsticks because I like shaping my lips with a stick, but this flat brush makes it very doable.

Next are the fabulous, NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. I have always loved the butter glosses by NYX and I’m usually not a matte fan, but I figured I’d give them a try and I’m so happy I did. Personally, I do not like wearing them alone because I feel too dry; but I do layer them over a lipstick. It’s great to use a light shade in the center of your lips to create an ombre effect because they blend out very easily. Putting them over any finish lipstick also makes the lipstick itself matte, which is cool because it helps make what you already have look new and different. I purchased the full set of 30 something, but they do sell them individually as well 🙂

Now for some eye products; unless you live under a rock, you definitely know the Anastasia Beverly Hills Renaissance PalletThis is by far my favorite shadow pallet of all time, I have nothing but amazing things to say about it, the shades are all so beautifully warm and pigmented. I’ve found a way to incorporate at least one color into every eye look I’ve done since I got this pallet in July. The color love letter literally makes my heart pound; I’d like to write Anastasia herself love letter for creating this beautiful shade that makes my eyes look SO green. I believe this pallet is finally back in stock, so it is a MUST get if you don’t already have it.

The next photo shows Glitter Injections Pressed Glitters  that are another cause of my increased heart rate. I have never felt anything like these glitter pans before. They are literally fluffy, yes, fluffy. I use these when I’m getting all glammed up and I honest to god put them ALL OVER my lid because I’m just real extra like that.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencils are god’s gift to the beauty world. Every color is so effortlessly beautiful and I can easily see myself owning and using the entire collection.

In this jam packed photo you see above are my FAVORITE skin and hair products. If you know me, you know I eat, sleep, live, breathe, devour, WORSHIP coconut oil. I use it twice a week as a hair mask, I use it as a makeup remover everyday, I’ve even used it as a substitute for butter on my grilled cheese, just get your hands on some coconut oil, okay?

Next, L’ Occitane Divine Creme is a cream designed to fight against aging. People often make the mistake of only using these products when they start to see signs of aging; however, they are much more affective when used regularly from a young age to slow down the process all together. I use it as a night cream.

Secondly to coconut oil of course, I love using the Tigi Bed Head Color Goddess Miracle Treatment Mask. It is a great deep conditioner and I fully rely on it to restore my shine when my hairs feelin a lil dull.

The Smoothie Star Body Butter Cream you see above its the most effective and best smelling body scrub I have ever used, you gotta try this stuff. I have it in the maple scent, but they make it in a more citrusy scent as well.

jo-malone

Lastly is the brand,  Jo MaloneMy mother has always been a religious Jo Malone user and got me hooked at a young age. There are so many amazing scents but my all time favorite is the Pomegranate Noir, I use the body créme, the shower gel and the cologne (yes, most scents are unisex, so just pretend its perfume and keep it to yourself that I wear cologne..)

I had so much fun picking out my favorites from 2016, I love and use all of these products every day so I hope I’ve helped you to find a few new staples for yourself as well!
